The holiday home is characterised by its special location in the midst of the forecourt of Schloss Mosigkau and is an ideal staying place for two guests.
Schloss Mosigkau was built between 1752 and 1757 as a summer residence for princess Anna Wilhelmine von Anhalt-Dessau. She used this retreat for 23 years in order to enjoy the comforts of country life and to invite guests. The main building of the Schloss was reserved entirely for its owner, her court ladies and her guests. Servants and attendants were housed in the two detached pavilions. The court’s cavalier and the privy councillor had their own living quarters on the upper floor of the eastern pavilion. From 1780 onwards, during the existance of the secular convent for unmarried noble women, the convent’s director and councillor were living in these quarters. In the 19th century the interior of the pavilions was severly transformed. Nowadays, they offer best conditions for a charming holiday home.
The two-room apartment of 40 m² is modernly furnished and ideal for one or two guests. The blue colour scheme in the living room and bed room as well as the wooden floor have a soothing effect and help relaxing. A small kitchen area with a counter is integrated into the living room. The bathroom is equipped with a shower.
It is our goal to give the Gartenreich’s friends an understanding of its nature, art and peace. Therefore we consciously forewent the provision of telephone, television and radio in all of our holiday homes.
